India-US Partnership to Drive Defensible, Embracive Global Growth: PM Modi 

“To maintain growth momentum, India and the US need a pipeline of talent. On the one hand, the US has top-class educational institutions and advanced technologies”, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that the partnership between India and the United States would suffice as the engine driving strong and global growth.

At the National Science Foundation in Alexandria, Virginia in the US, Modi conveyed the ‘Skilling for Future’ and emphasized the need to raise a channel of talent to maintain the growth momentum between the two countries. He said, “To maintain growth momentum, India and the US need a pipeline of talent. On the one hand, the US has top-class educational institutions and advanced technologies. On the other hand, India has the world’s biggest youth factory. That is why, I believe that the India-US partnership will prove to be the engine of sustainable and inclusive global growth”.

Earlier PM Modi arrived in Washington DC, where he received a ceremonious welcome and a Guard of Honour at the airport. And later he will attend the state dinner to which he was sent an invitation by US President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden.

PM Narendra Modi visited the National Science Foundation in Alexandria, Virginia, along with First Lady Jill Biden. There they intercommunicated with students from both countries who are accessing skills that would help them to get success in the important industries of their respective economies. There Modi said that Indian Government has worked for the bright future of the students, and has brought the New Education Policy and assimilated education and skilling.

Narendra Modi asserted, “We can think of starting an India-US teachers’ exchange program. To increase the engagement of scientists and entrepreneurs across the world with Indian institutions, we started GIAN – Global Initiative of Academic Networks in 2015. I am delighted to tell you that under this, 750 faculty members from the US have come to India”. He added, “I think together, both countries should also organize hackathons on different issues. This may offer solutions to several of the current problems as well as new ideas for the future”.
