Rajnath Singh, the Union Defence Minister of India had a visit to an event in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. It was on the theme ‘Swarnim Bhavishya’. There he addressed the people and said that India has been endorsed with economic, social, cultural, and political empowerment since the Modi government has come into power.
He stated that under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, the groundwork is being laid for India to become an evolved and advanced nation by 2047. Rajnath Singh claimed that the Government had taken steps in the previous years which guaranteed the holistic development of the nation, social solidarity, and also connected up the people with the rich heritage of the country.
The Defence Minister also mentioned some of the record-breaking decisions which included Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojna, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, and the Abolition of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. He also voiced the brave fight that India led against the COVID-19 pandemic, and the measures taken to get rid of the colonial mindset while inculcating the feeling of pride in the heritage, traditions, and cultures of India, among the people.
Singh even shed light on the steps that the Government has taken toward women’s empowerment, along with the construction of cemented houses with toilets in rural areas. The government has also assured the women section of society that they will get equal opportunities as their male equivalents in every field.
Rajnath also said that many opportunities have been given to the women section even in the Armed Forces. The doors of the Sainik Schools have been opened for the admission of girls, and female officers are being posted on warships and the highest battlefields such as Siachen Glacier. He also added that steps have been taken and efforts have been made to make India completely safe for women.
He signified the efforts that the government is making to ensure full safety and many opportunities for the youth.
The Union Minister said, “We have established new IITs and NITs and the number of seats has also increased. In addition, we have invited ideas in the defense sector through the Innovations for Defence Excellence initiative and Technology Development Fund which aims to promote start-ups. Due to these steps and many other reforms, India is well on course to soon become one of the leading defense exporters from an importer. We are building a strong and self-reliant India which is the flag-bearer of regional and global peace, and at the same time, has the wherewithal to give a befitting reply to those who try to cast an evil eye”.
Rajnath Singh also appreciated PM Narendra Modi for transforming India’s image on the global platform, from a normal observer to a propounder.
